What is Chino

People need three seconds to get it.

Chino is real coffee, frozen into a smooth granita and poured from a machine. Cold enough to stop you on a hot day, light enough to drink every day.

It is not

  • A slushie
  • A milkshake
  • A dessert with syrup and cream

It is

  • Coffee
  • Frozen
  • Refreshing

The Chino Pour

Grab it. Pour it. Done.

No queue, no order, no barista. You take a cup, pull the lever and watch it spiral in. Fill to the Chino line, put a lid on, pay at the counter.

01

Grab a cup

Clear cup so everyone can see what you're drinking.

02

Pull the lever

Frozen coffee spirals straight from the machine.

03

Fill to the line

Every cup is the same size. 500 mL.

04

Lid on, pay

Straw in, back outside. Fifteen seconds start to finish.

Why people come back

Cold coffee that actually tastes cold.

Coffee first

A real coffee base, not a coffee-flavored slush. You can taste it through the ice.

Frozen, not blended

The machine holds it at the point where it's still pourable. That's the texture people remember.

Same cup, every time

Same recipe, same fill line, same price. No guessing what you're getting.

For store owners

Six feet of counter. One more reason to walk in.

We install the machine and keep it running. You sell the cups.

Where it comes from

Made in Cyprus since 2001.

Frozen coffee isn't new. On the Mediterranean coast it's what you drink all summer — from a kiosk, at the beach, walking home in the heat. Chino has been making it there for over twenty years.

San Diego has the same sun and the same coastline. It just never had the coffee.
